Sis. Whitney Indiana Indianapolis Mission

Week 8 Talked to Caprice after she went bowling on her PDAY with her district. I was so worried we wouldn't be able to talk because she didn't know how long she would be with her district. The reception on our phones are so bad because we have to make our calls through Facebook Messanger and it doesn't work too well. It cuts out every few minutes and then we loose our call. She told me that what most people don't know about a mission is how busy you always are. Even PDAYS are so busy with laundrey and grocery shopping, that there is not much time for anything else. She also mentioned that she wants some healthy recipes to make because most of the food that is brought over to them (not many meals in members' homes due to COVID), are full of fatty carbs (not that they aren't grateful). We talked to Caprice while we were on our teip in Austin,TX. She and her two companioms had a weird run-in with some priest ministers that were bashing the sisters' beliefs. The priests were purposely being argumentative which Caprice was irritated and disappointed by. But they also had success wirh a cute older man that treats them kindly and loves the B of M so much, he hugs and kisses it. Caprice is learning that although many are not open to hear the gospel , she is planting a seed in their hearts. Here are some pics from a conference they just had.

Week 7 letter from Caprice Hey yall! Sorry that I didn't send out an email last week I lost my phone. Haha but I found it and I am able to communicate with the world once again! Also thanks to each of you who have reached out and wished me happy birthday! I'm not really aloud to respond on Facebook but I can see all the messages and I appreciate it ! This week has been crazy, my two companions and I have been running around like a chickens with our heads cut off. We are just crazy busy. We've been able to teach a lot of lessons and surprisingly we've had a lot of success tracting! We hand out Book of Mormons like hot cakes! However with all the success we also have a lot of disappointments. Opposition in all things, am I right ?!? Rough. However I don't want to focus on the sad disappointments because that will make me sad and I'm sure no one wants to read a sad depressing email. Soo I want to focus on all the good! Caprice has been adjusting well in Lebanon, Indiana. She was put in a trio worh two other sister missionaries who are serving as STL's. Caprice just thinks the world of these ladies. Caprice was happy to be with experienced missionaries, and also sent me a picture of their daily schedules. She said their schedules are so busy they are constantly running frim one apoointment to rhe next ! Caorice and I have an inside joke about how she now dresses like a grandma, which became very evident when she wore a with flowers on it that she got at the salvation army!!

Caprice flew to Indianapolis unexpectedly on March 1, 2022. We were told she would be leaving on March 3, so when she messaged me on March 1st and told me that she was flying out in a couple hours we were all surprised! I wanted to talk to her so bad when she arrived at the mission home but all she could do was tell me she arrived safely. Then I received a sweet email from the mission president's wife that she had arrived safely and that Caprice is such a cute girl. Letter from Mission President and Sister Paige Dear Brother and Sister Whitney, We are so excited to welcome Sister Whitney to the Indiana Indianapolis Mission! She arrived with fourteen other missionaries this afternoon. President Page and I welcomed her and took several pictures at the airport. We then traveled to the Indianapolis Temple for some more pictures and continued on to the mission home. We are so excited to be able to have the missionaries in our home again!!
