Week 8
Talked to Caprice after she went bowling on her PDAY with her district. I was so worried we wouldn't be able to talk because she didn't know how long she would be with her district. The reception on our phones are so bad because we have to make our calls through Facebook Messanger and it doesn't work too well. It cuts out every few minutes and then we loose our call. She told me that what most people don't know about a mission is how busy you always are. Even PDAYS are so busy with laundrey and grocery shopping, that there is not much time for anything else. She also mentioned that she wants some healthy recipes to make because most of the food that is brought over to them (not many meals in members' homes due to COVID), are full of fatty carbs (not that they aren't grateful).
We told her that Beckhem broke his knee scootering this week by falling 5' off a half-pipe onto his knee on the cement at the Morgan Skate Park. We told her that Remy's play was the following week and Remy has had stage fright for the first time. Caprice was so sad she couldn't see Remy play the Genie in Alladin.
Weekly email from Caprice:
Sorry friends this email will be short! I don't have much time this P day

Caprice's mission farewell was held on Feb. 13, 2022 at our church building. So many friends and family came to her farewell and to our house after for Cafe Rio salads and dessert. Caprice practiced her talk all week and presented it with confidence and calmness. She shared some special stories about why she was inspired to serve a mission. We had such a big turnout after at our house that we almost ran out of food. Some old friends from Riverton came, new friends from South Weber, her friends from college and OATC and high school, and most of all our family members. We felt so much love it and it really was such a special occasion. Grandma Sue even made some beautiful flower arrangements with yellow and white flowers to represent the colors in the Indiana state flag.
