Caprice flew to Indianapolis unexpectedly on March 1, 2022. We were told she would be leaving on March 3, so when she messaged me on March 1st and told me that she was flying out in a couple hours we were all surprised! I wanted to talk to her so bad when she arrived at the mission home but all she could do was tell me she arrived safely. Then I received a sweet email from the mission president's wife that she had arrived safely and that Caprice is such a cute girl. Letter from Mission President and Sister Paige Dear Brother and Sister Whitney, We are so excited to welcome Sister Whitney to the Indiana Indianapolis Mission! She arrived with fourteen other missionaries this afternoon. President Page and I welcomed her and took several pictures at the airport. We then traveled to the Indianapolis Temple for some more pictures and continued on to the mission home. We are so excited to be able to have the missionaries in our home again!! We enjoyed dinner, a short meeting and then President Page was able to spend some one on one time with Sister Whitney. We are excited for this extra time to be able to get to know your daughter better. We already feel a great love for Sister Whitney and look forward to serving together. We also feel the Lord's love for her and anticipate great things to come in this part of the Lord's vineyard

We talked to Caprice while we were on our teip in Austin,TX. She and her two companioms had a weird run-in with some priest ministers that were bashing the sisters' beliefs. The priests were purposely being argumentative which Caprice was irritated and disappointed by. But they also had success wirh a cute older man that treats them kindly and loves the B of M so much, he hugs and kisses it. Caprice is learning that although many are not open to hear the gospel , she is planting a seed in their hearts. Here are some pics from a conference they just had.

Caprice was made trainer to her new companion after having served only 3 short months in Lebanon, Indiana. She was feeling overwhelmed when we talked to her. She was feeling the burden of all the responsibilites that were once her own trainer's. She said there are so many things to remember! She messaged me later that day and felt so dissapointed because they were invited to dinner at a member's house about 30 miles away, and she realized on the way there that they didn't have enough miles left to use for the month for driving. She had to cancel their dinner appointment and felt bad that the members had made them dinner already and that she was not being a good trainer to her new companion (because she should not have made that mistake). I told her to stop being so hard on herself, she has to make mistakes to learn for the next time. We've been praying for her hard this week, and sending her messages to show her our support.  Caprice's mission farewell was held on Feb. 13, 2022 at our church building.  So many friends and family came to her farewell and to our house after for Cafe Rio salads and dessert.  Caprice practiced her talk all week and presented it with confidence and calmness.  She shared some special stories about why she was inspired to serve a mission.  We had such a big turnout after at our house that we almost ran out of food.  Some old friends from Riverton came, new friends from South Weber, her friends from college and OATC and high school, and most of all our family members.   We felt so much love it and it really was such a special occasion.   Grandma Sue even made some beautiful flower arrangements with yellow and white flowers to represent the colors in the Indiana state flag.
