Sister Whitney was a little bummed she didnt get to be transferred last week. She is ready to try something new but also knows that a change entails new hardships. This week she told me she wants to work on patience. She is in charge of a lot if things, including teaching her comoanion how to teach. She struggles with the fact that her companion doesn't speak up much and help during the discussions and then finds herself frustrated wirh Sis. Richardson. She told me she apologized to Sis. Richardson and will trynto be more patient with her. Their new mission president arrived and did 60 second interviews worh all the new missionaries. He asked Caprice what he should "know about her" and Caprice said that he can always trust her. She said she always follows the mission rules and tries her best at all times ! He was impressed and said that he has been praying for all the missionaries before he even met them. And said she has been praying for him too- which brought

Caprice was made trainer to her new companion after having served only 3 short months in Lebanon, Indiana. She was feeling overwhelmed when we talked to her. She was feeling the burden of all the responsibilites that were once her own trainer's. She said there are so many things to remember! She messaged me later that day and felt so dissapointed because they were invited to dinner at a member's house about 30 miles away, and she realized on the way there that they didn't have enough miles left to use for the month for driving. She had to cancel their dinner appointment and felt bad that the members had made them dinner already and that she was not being a good trainer to her new companion (because she should not have made that mistake). I told her to stop being so hard on herself, she has to make mistakes to learn for the next time. We've been praying for her hard this week, and sending her messages to show her our support. It's times like that that I wish I

Caprice was feeling anxious today. Her companion Sis Newbold is going home this week and Caprice was made trainer over her next companion! She is worried that she will be " carrying everything." She said there is so much to do and hopes her new companion can keep up and that Caprice will be able to keep up with all! She said that her area has strong missionaries in it and needs them because there is continuou, constant work to be done!

Caprice called me for Mother's Day! I'm so glad missionaries get to call their mom's on this day! She said she wrote me an actial letter but I didn't get it in the mail in time... sad! A couple parents in the ward were asked to speak about their missionaries so I talked about Caprice's recent email we received titled " Pink Trees". I talked about how much she loves spring and the flowers blossoming on the trees and all the cute wildlife in Indiana. I told the congregation that spring has always been her favorite season and now she gets to experience all of God's beautiful creations in Indiana! I also shared an excerpt from her email about an older investigator named Tim, who has read the Book of Mormon and loves it. Caprice said that they are finding about 2-3 people per day to teach thriugh tracting! Shw told me her biggest dissapointments are when the people they teach don't show up for church or their appointments with them. She is a litt

Week 8 Talked to Caprice after she went bowling on her PDAY with her district. I was so worried we wouldn't be able to talk because she didn't know how long she would be with her district. The reception on our phones are so bad because we have to make our calls through Facebook Messanger and it doesn't work too well. It cuts out every few minutes and then we loose our call. She told me that what most people don't know about a mission is how busy you always are. Even PDAYS are so busy with laundrey and grocery shopping, that there is not much time for anything else. She also mentioned that she wants some healthy recipes to make because most of the food that is brought over to them (not many meals in members' homes due to COVID), are full of fatty carbs (not that they aren't grateful). We told her that Beckhem broke his knee scootering this week by falling 5' off a half-pipe onto his knee on the cement at the Morgan Skate Park. We told her that Rem

We talked to Caprice while we were on our teip in Austin,TX. She and her two companioms had a weird run-in with some priest ministers that were bashing the sisters' beliefs. The priests were purposely being argumentative which Caprice was irritated and disappointed by. But they also had success wirh a cute older man that treats them kindly and loves the B of M so much, he hugs and kisses it. Caprice is learning that although many are not open to hear the gospel , she is planting a seed in their hearts. Here are some pics from a conference they just had.
